Its that...HARD Adrenalin!

Most people dream of fast expensive vehicles while others dream of the almost box shaped VW that changed the South African motor scene for 25 years.

This week we take a look at Nadim's little box of liquid adrenalin, its a boost addiction and believe me this cars got a funky feel to it, having owned two MK1s prior to this one he had to make this one special.

This is one of those projects buy yourself a rust bucket, check the budget and Frankenstein walks again with you as its mad scientist.
First things first cosmetics were key so as usual he called upon his Dad, his father covered the bodywork being the bodywork genius that he is, once the bodywork had been done and completed I must give this guy a pat on the back for the end product colors work so well together.

Nadim is like me a real junky for the 1.8 motor VW built so like all his other projects he decided again on a 1.8 16V but this time he wouldn't be short of power, boost is all that has to be said for this 150kw whistling monster. Once he had the motor sorted and going(after blowing an EFI system and then getting dictator) he proceeded onto the finer details such as doing his interior, He kept the standard dash and fitted so many dials I thought I could ask what the time was in Germany. The seats were next, going with red suede down the middle and black suede on the sides makes for a nice old school feel and then Nadim did the unthinkable going with a German flag styled headliner, a MOMO drift steering was fitted but he also then decided to borrow from VWs german cousin the BMW, taking the complete interior light setup from a E36 fancy don't you think and yes they all work.

When wheel choice came into play he decided on a set of 13" Steelies which he then had widened to 8j all round and for that stretch look he helped himself to a set of  185/60/13 falken tyres, the drop is different teh car sits level and its60mm infront and 80mm in the back (make sense...NO... didn't think so) the stance is more than what the car needed.

When speaking to him he told me he is crazy about sound so as crazy as he is he went for a full custom setup not going to mention this all in detail but he is running two huge amps, 3 mother sub woofers and a subtle in dash unit for some class...What really caught my eye was when I took a close look at Nadims headlights which I think are pretty trend setting, having fitted to this box a set of projectors  from an Audi TT  into the standard MK1 light fitting.

There is so much more to this car and I would have loved to ramble on about the car but we could be here a while. Know that Nadim is at almost every show so when you decided go out to one of these shows make the effort to see it the flesh the car will tell its own story from there.

Peace...
Allister, Neckbreakerz
