Its was the morning of the 4th of Feb, when I got up and its was that time of the year again Camp Fest was upon us.
Cum Laude the hosts, for this years event had chosen the serene setting of Haartebeestpoort Pleasure resort, for this epic get together of Dub addicts.
We had been waiting a whole year to attend this having missed the 2011 showdown, I know its sad but this year I made a plan to make an appearance, having spent the previous night giving the car a good wash I was ready for the next days convoy. So off we went and it was a long drive but surely a interesting one because as we traveled I could see the cars going to the show people had put in a lot of work this time.
We arrived to at the event to find an array of Dubs from your simplest MK1 to your awesome looking MK6.:R, but the order of the day was turbo, never have I seen so many boosted cats in one space.
Its was a scorcher the sun wasn't out to give us a break, so many of the people that attended spent their day under the cooling shade of trees whilst many enthusiasts beard the sun to take a look at the many cars that had covered the dusty show ground of Haartebeestpoort Pleasure Resort. The first day had plenty going on as their was a dyno, sound off comp, vendors like you wont believe...The day had come to an end and the party was on.
Waking up sunday morning was quite a mission but up I was camera in hand, thinking I was going to make the show but low and behold by the time i had decided to make my best move the rain had come in a fury so me and the friends that came out for the weekend decided to hit the road but i had taken many clicks the previous day...Would have loved have seen the cars for show and shine because at this moment hearing about the epic Sunday afternoon is just a killer.
thanks again to Cum Laude for an awesome event and we looking forward to next years VDUB Camp Fest 2013!
P.S. the pictures are in no particular order.
