So Saturday I spoke to Jason one of our Capetown photographers about me wanting to shoot a Corsa.
During the conversation we ended up having the whole Capetown vs Johannesburg drama lama discussion on hands again.
He then came up with the idea of having a double feature, I agreed upon this and he went to go arrange the fast Corsa for the photo shoot.
The JHB Corsa will be in the class of low n slow with the Cape Corsa being the coastal eater...
I will start off with the JHB Rebel.
Wayne a good friend of mine that I met whilst still being very involved in stickermuch.com that time, was busy building one of the coolest Corsa's that I have seen.
When I met Wayne he had just finished the 1.8 16v transplant.
The car had loads of problems in the start, with problems like over fueling and not liking the mapping that was done to it at that time.
He also had a hugely weird thing for the Jap spec boxes (as seen in some of the pictures haha) that made the car uber loud and robbed it from power due to flow issues.
He started getting over the whole boy racer thing after college and followed the new wave then of modding now known as the "euro scene".
He still calls it his work in progress with a few things left to change like doing a hidden exhaust, finishing the interior and fitting new coil overs.
It's an '98 model running with a Z18xe 1.8 16v motor doing 98KW's and 186NM's.
Engine mods are as follow:
Dicktator management
K&N Flatbed filter
