So we all love an MK1, I'm sure most people reading this are here because there is an MK1 being featured yet again on the blog.
I'll start with how Hamilton and I met, I had sold my two door to a friend who then sold it again and with in a few months the very car had been featured in the Speed and Sound Magazine as a Rat. I was curious to say the least as that was my dream, so now there I am trying to find the owner of my ex car a real man on a mission.
I was very disappointed to find that Hamilton had put the car up for sale again, I had not even met him yet but still I had to. We had just launched the blog and attended Motor Mania, low and behold I met Hamilton a blond haired afrikaans speaking guy that was all for the dub scene.
I was very keen on what he was driving a pastel green MK1 which at the time was on a set on ATS replica's but what I can tell you this car has rolled on many a wheel this one just one of the few.
So afetr the show Hami and I kept in contact, I had to shoot the car when he had a set of Porsche 928 wheels on. He said I should wait as he was busy with a deal so I waited and it surely was a surprise, he had swapped out the 928's for a set of D90's and just like that we had another feature.
Allie, Neck Breakerz.
Classic rolling, its a master piece in motion.
The full face polish on the wheels make for an eye full.
STANCE is not a crime and man this car pulls it off so well!
Hami saved me the need to look for a location, we let him take that lead and after a fair amount if driving we ended up at Marechelle Country estate. Green grass, late afternoon sun all worked so well I couldnt have chosen a better setting for the car.
This 1979 MK1 has been well looked after and the interior is so stock is makes your mouth water, what would you do for a neat set of chocolate seats, a Wolfsburg steering and the worn out feeling of an orginal gear knob.
When he had just bought the car he dropped 1.8l lump but kept the old 4 speed box.
