Now the story to this one is interesting, when Neck Breakerz started I attended Motor Mania 1 and this is where I first laid eyes on Shakeel's Caddy. Everybody read his registration, "O SO LOW", and we all thought - "man this must be a joke". Little did we know that he had recently done a full Air install. He then lowered the Caddy before everyone's eyes and needless to say the way that Caddy lay frame was a first for many who witnessed it, even for me.

New Photographer Bio: Steve Dyer
New Photographer Bio: Steve Dyer
Greetings, my name is Steve Dyer and I'm from the United Kingdom. I'm 21 years old, born on 9th April 1991. My car life started back in 2007 when I was taken on as a trainee at a SEAT main dealer after graduating from the college. I have now left the trade and carry out welding repairs on cement mines worldwide. From what it seems, I am the only member of the Neck Breakerz team not rolling in a VW. After a recent purchase, I am currently driving a Nissan Fairlady Z (350z) imported over from Japan. Over here in the UK the group of people I hang around with go by the name of CableTie Racing - a group that build their cars for a purpose be it Drift, Drag, Track or Hard parking at many of the meets across the UK. Please don't think for one minute that I only represent the JDM brands here in the UK, as I often find my self chilling with people from all back grounds of the car scene, so expect a vast array of different makes and models.
My photography and filming background doesn't fall far from a very 'Guerrilla' style of shooting - just grabbing a camera and seeing what nature and the world that rushes by has to offer. So hopefully you will enjoy what I'm covering and shooting and if you're from the UK and can recommend a show/meet you think is worth covering my email is at the bottom of the post.

Green Dream
Now there is no actual point you can start at when trying to describe this A1 Caddy to anybody you know, I experienced this in person. I had followed Aldo's previous build of the same Caddy but never thought of it to be what people were saying it was, using big words like superbly built, practically perfect, international standard, showroom piece. I could go on about how people go into a frenzy when this car is mentioned.
Myself and Zac organized with Aldo to shoot the Caddy, with everything arranged we took a day off our everyday jobs and went to fetch Aldo's green beast. It was a sight that I couldn't not explain, feelings that I have never felt before, before me was a 1.9 G60 workhorse that just oozed awesome.
I took a quick look around the Caddy and to honest I couldn't spot a single imperfect detail except for the side view mirrors that were missing. I ran my fingers across the paint, I could see my reflection in it. Could the paint be this clean? Its a wet dream that's not supposed to exist but before me I had one kick ass combination of Simple, Functional and Clean!

Killing the Game Softly
The Tri-State has an outstanding amount of amazing Honda's, ranging from Inspire's, Accord's, TL's, TSX's, and also rare JDM Accord Wagon's. With Coupes now getting built more then the ordinary four doors, for more whores mobile. This was one those original builds I'm on about.
Meet Peter's Accord Coupe.

NB go to Motor Mania 2
Motor Mania, it was my first event that I had covered for the blog in February and so another Sunday down the line and its back.
So it must be said that Rizo from JHB Parties sure knows how to advertise his events, and with this event he surely went out of his way. As before the event was even on the verge of going down it was on everybody's lips. We arrived at Motor Mania and it was like a scene out of a movie, the place was packed, people were hustling about and just like that we knew it was going to be a big one.
I was skeptical to see a lot of the cars I usually see at other events, but low and behold upon passing through the gates I found that it was a whole different story.

Eurofest Coverage
With me being in the JDM scene for a couple of years now. Amazing builds and fantastic creations always makes you want to build one but with a different taste of your own. It use to be that just JDM is ruled those amazing creations but in the last 5years more Euros have been hitting the United States with something really different with cars that will have you saying well "DAMNNN".
This was my first time attending Eurofest and featuring an event and I'm going to say. This was an event where tears came out of my eyes. You might say..this guys is a hipster. But any car enthusiast could tell you about that amazing feeling inside when goosebumps come out like bullets from your body when you are in your element.

Red Riding in the Hood
When u come across a fine piece of machinery, one always have to ponder why can’t all enthusiasts cars look like this. If a person treats his car with respect, I always believe that the car will return that favor. In this case we look at this fine example of Ramiz Isaacs, this car don’t come out when it rains, its body work is flawless. We all know how hard it is to maintain a red cars paintwork to stay in a pristine condition.
I met Ramiz almost 2 years ago at a small VW hookup that my buddy Zain invited me to, because that time I was still new at photography and he figured that it will assist me in my venture, seeing that I just photographed Hondas back in the day. The only thing that changed since then was the air suspension that he fitted and he took the lip of he had on, for the more OEM look and the old lip was scraping on the ground also.

Neck Breakerz go to Chilling for Charity
Who wouldn't help the the less fortunate, we all wish in our own special way that we could make someone else's life more comfortable and relaxing, something that that they dont experience everyday. It was just after the BMW vs VW weekend, that news got out that the guys from 4 Corners Entertainment and Showtime Fanatics were working on a Charity event.
People were nothing short of excited to do their bit for the less fortunate, and just like that people started spreading the word via any source of media available, and so many crews approached the organizers to incorporate on the Heap of Hope event. People from Showtime Fanatics, Eurohoodride, Cheese Living and JHB Parties just to mention a few all organized random pick ups of unwanted clothing, food, blankets, toys and the list goes on and on and on, you get the idea.
Zoo lake would be the venue for this good cause and believe me it made for the perfect setting, we arrived dropped off our goodies basically filling up two 1 tonner trucks courtesy of the Bozi Spinmasters, we then proceeded to chill for charity, and as usual a lot of new friends were made I haven't laughed that much in a while.
Just want to say a big thank you to 4 Corners and Showtime Fanatics for always being the ones to set the trend, you guys did a good deed and it wont be forgotten for a longtime to come!
Cant wait for the next event.

Quality not Quantity
After a recent event I had the pleasure of shooting these two beauties together. As it would be it was a spur of the moment shoot as the Mk5 was leaving for Worthersee in Austria the next morning so I took the little time we had and the less than perfect location and rolled with it. In my opinion these two golf's are leading the scene here in Romania! I am yet to see two other Volkswagen's that are more complete be it engine, wheels, paint, suspension or interior wise.
It also happens to be a perfect duo being that they are both running air-ride and similar color combo's. They also just happen to be both editions, be it the Mk5 a Edition 30 and the Mk2 a Edition One. I will hopefully go into much more detail with each of these cars in a follow-up shoot.

Early Edition 38
Early Edition 2012, Northampton Rugby Ground, UK
A one day affair that kicked off when a group very keen Dub enthusiasts decided that hosting what is arguably the UKs greatest all weekend VW show, Edition38, spilled over into this little shindig at Franklin Garden's rugby stadium almost slap bang in the middle of the country.
It draws cars from all over our relatively small island and always attracts an exceptionally high standard of what's hot for the eager punters to check out. This years turnout seemed slightly down on the inaugural 2011 show, but with the car limbo contest, show 'n' shine prizes and wheel change competition kicking off everyone seemed to enjoy a chilled day amongst friends both new and old.
Check out the quality of metal on show and we're sure you won't be dissapointed - whether you're a new skool or old skool junkie, Early Edition had all bases covered, including a few cheeky Porsche, BMW and Seat and Skoda entries as well.
Air ride and Rotiform wheels continue to be as popular as ever here amongst the UK scene, but the hard slammed, static crowd always inspire confidence with some epic arch gaps still evident.
Here's a quick taster in pictorial form of what went down. Enjoy.

Keep things simple, stupid.
"Keep things simple, stupid" it's the key tuning mentality that has shaped car modification since the very damn of the teenager and hot rodding in the late 40s and early 50s. Don't add what isn't needed, keep bodywork subtle and ensure those lines are always as smooth and clean, if not more so, than the original manufacturer intended.

EuroCar Meeting by STREETMANIACS
With summer well on it's way the show season has begun in Europe, and how do you go about starting it off? How about telling a few friends about a meet at a local parking lot? Sounds nice and quiet doesn't it..
Well this past Sunday I was invited by STREETMANIACS (Check them out on FB) to a what we thought was a small get together but ended up becoming a full blown event with over 100+ cars showing up!! Shows how far the word of mouth still goes these days.
The variety of cars that showed up was enough to please any petrol head be it stanced, on bags, turbocharged ,VAG, JDM you name it!! You certainly weren't left wanting anything except for maybe a few more hours of daylight to enjoy them. All of the cars we have featured so far also made an appearance wearing their NeckBreakerz stickers proud.

Shaun Botha's MK3 Jetta
And so we start off with our opening feature on the blog.
Some what of a "crack the champane", well almost.
So as no one yet knows us and we are still new, I must say things happened faster than expected.
During this week myself and Allister were sitting in the office and looking at blogs, and since I was making a stir on the VW club of SA about photography not always being on par, Allister said to me that if I want to complain about stuff that can be changed, I should take the lead and teach or show how it should be done per say...
So as someone who does photography as a hobby and it not really being my full time thing, and with also not touching a camera in the last 12-18months, I took out my bag, charged my battery and headed out to see if I still have it in me somewhere, also just to forget about the drama and my busy life and just enjoy life a little again.
No bullshit just plain enjoyment.
So whilst being at the VW club dyno day I started looking for something to just shoot and get the hang of things again, I found that Shaun Botha's car was in a very nice spot to get some practice in...
So with Berry holding an umbrella over my head I turned to the parking lot to go get these shots, hope you enjoy them.
